Golden jacquard and checked silk introduce richer textures, while visible linings, transparent layers and skirts suspended by straps reveal elements usually concealed within a garment. Horizontal cutouts, cropped lengths and elongated silhouettes create varied proportions throughout the collection. Accessories add a playful touch, including open-toe pumps, silver toe rings shaped like flowers and bags engraved with lyrics from Brat Star’s “Margot Tenenbaum.” Presented at the Maison de la Chimie in Paris, the collection develops Paloma Wool’s tactile approach through a more formal wardrobe.
