GERMANIER Best Looks Fall 2025 Haute Couture Paris - Fashion Channel
Kevin Germanier closed the haute couture calendar in Paris with Les Joueuses, a collection that combined exuberant creativity with sustainable practices. Known for transforming discarded materials into high-impact fashion, Germanier continued this approach with designs made from rejected balloons, melted plastic bottles, plastic raffia crafted by Brazilian artist Gustavo Silvestre with former inmates, and recycled fabrics sourced from luxury houses.
Highlights included three balloon creations—one engulfing the body in vibrant, sculptural forms, another evoking a carnivorous plant in sharp red mylar, and a third constructed from Hello Kitty balloons. The runway also featured glitter-covered bodies, beaded miniskirts referencing Germanier’s early work, metallic beadwork, and motocross-inspired looks with feather-topped helmets.
The collection balanced technicolor extravagance with moments of restraint, including a black ensemble and a dramatic white gown made from recycled Japanese paper. Accessories extended the playful tone, with Hello Kitty and Kuromi appearing as special guests in custom outfits, alongside embellished bags featuring their likeness.
Germanier, who has previously created pieces for Eurovision and the Olympic Games, infused this lineup with athlete-meets-diva energy—an expression of fantasy, craft, and sustainability in haute couture.
