Beginning his career in war-affected Beirut, Chakra sketched and sewed his first garments in his home living room. After graduating in Canada, he expanded his atelier to Paris, debuting his first Haute Couture collection at Paris Fashion Week in Fall 2002. In February 2009, he launched Edition by Georges Chakra, a luxurious ready-to-wear line presented at New York Fashion Week, extending his couture aesthetic to accessible, sophisticated garments.
