In 1927, Ferragamo chose to return to Italy and set up his business in Florence, the capital of Italian elegance at the time and the centre of Italian leather craftsmanship Today, Salvatore Ferragamo is a public company with revenues in excess of $1.3 billion. However, despite evolving from a single individual to global team of over 4000 employees over its 90-year history, the same spirit of shared passion, teamwork and respect for individuals and communities established by Salvatore Ferragamo’s first partnerships with Florentine craftsmen continues to define the company today.
