QUEERING: Model Munroe Bergdorf is freed from chains in her performative self-care ritual

The verb form of the word queer, 'Queering' looks for places where gender, sexuality, masculinity and femininity can be challenged and questioned. Our immersive live stream, 12 and 13 July 2018, saw individuals from all walks use their art, talent and physicality to both show and tell us what the term means to them. ‘I wanted to create something that resembles the chains that trans people carry through their public life.’ Munroe Bergdorf utilises chains, incense and sage to achieve a transcendent feeling of freedom with her self-soothing ritual.
