QUEERING: Performer Lewis G Burton encapsulates three different queer identities

The verb form of the word queer, 'Queering' looks for places where gender, sexuality, masculinity and femininity can be challenged and questioned. Our immersive live stream, 12 and 13 July 2018, saw individuals from all walks use their art, talent and physicality to both show and tell us what the term means to them. ‘What the fuck is beauty? I was always made to feel ugly because I was a large person and that goes against the gay ways.’ Lewis G Burton uses the mediums of poetry, performance art and drag to capture three different queer identities.
