QUEERING: Model Ana Viktoria dialogues with 10 inanimate objects

The verb form of the word queer, 'Queering' looks for places where gender, sexuality, masculinity and femininity can be challenged and questioned. Our immersive live stream, 12 and 13 July 2018, saw individuals from all walks use their art, talent and physicality to both show and tell us what the term means to them. ‘We should all just be queer. We should all just embrace non conformity and make the reality fit us, not the other way round.’ Ana Viktoria’s performance art piece is a dialogue with 10 inanimate objects drawing from Berthold Brecht’s method of making the familiar look strange in order to question social connotations and the spectators’ relation to it.
