Tilda Swinton reads the André Breton poem Freedom Of Love

For SHOWstudio’s 25th anniversary, Nick Knight invited the actor Tilda Swinton to recreate the original 2004 Freedom of Love fashion film. Freedom of Love (2026) is inspired by imaginative, surreal visions from André Breton’s one stanza, sixty-line homage to his wife. Knight guides imagery to reflect an abstract understanding of Tilda Swinton’s evocative narration. Swinton expresses a passion and eros from the poem that becomes a moving statement of love beyond words. Originally read to Nick Knight by legendary editor Isabella Blow, Freedom of Love is a surreal poem reimagined as a testimony to depth, meaning and creativity.
