Originality Is Everything, In Margasatwa’s “Kau Yang Asli” | Levi’s® Music Project

Looking like they just stepped out of a time machine, Margasatwa incorporates traditional Malaysian musical styles across genres to create fresh sounds. Their new song, “Kau Yang Asli” [“You Are Original”], celebrates people as they are, and is made in collaboration with the Levi’s® Music Project. Watch some scenes of the band playing an acoustic version of the song while having a boys’ day out. Margasatwa is one of four artists shortlisted from 200 submissions that the Levi’s® Music Project is committed to support for the next three years. Since 2015, Levi’s® has partnered with respected artists and local community partners worldwide to develop the Levi’s® Music Project. In Malaysia, Levi’s® is helping its four shortlisted artists move towards the next stage in their creative lives.
