Made in Prada – Raw Refinement | FW25

“Raw Refinement” traces the making of defining elements from the Prada Fall/Winter 2025 collection. More than artifacts, they are acts of creation: shaped by construction and instinct, spontaneity and precision. At its center, a dress in slate gray Shetland wool reinterprets the codes of 1950s femininity. The silhouette - sculpted bust, cinched waist, softened hips - emerges through a complex process of pattern making and tailoring. Pleats are layered with double inserts in contrasting fabrics, raw edges are frayed using tailoring scissors and abrasive brushes, and surfaces are pressed to the millimeter before roundness is restored with heat. Over 24 hours of craftsmanship converge in a final gesture: a two-toned ribbon, hand-tied through raw-edged buttonholes. Each detail becomes a mark of intention.
